Summit Meeting on Zugspitze: DEEPDYN ECS Researchers Connect

3 Feb 2026

DEEPDYN ECS researchers gathered at the Schneefernerhaus research station for three days of cross-disciplinary collaboration on Germany’s highest peak.

High up on Germany’s highest peak, early career scientists from the DEEPDYN program gathered for a three-day workshop at the "Schneefernerhaus" environmental research station on the Zugspitze. The meeting brought together young researchers from various disciplines within the program to exchange ideas and deepen their understanding of each other's research areas.

Scientific Exchange at the Schneefernerhaus Station

Participants presented their work with a particular focus on making their projects accessible across disciplinary boundaries. The goal was not only to share results but to build a common scientific language that supports seamless collaboration within the priority program.

Strengthening Interdisciplinary Collaboration

Through presentations, discussions, and informal exchanges, the workshop created a dedicated space for early career researchers to connect their individual approaches. A key focus was exploring how each project contributes to the broader, overarching scientific goals of DEEPDYN.

Building a Common Language for DEEPDYN Research

The meeting fostered an open and collaborative atmosphere, significantly strengthening the network of early career scientists. By encouraging new perspectives on cross-disciplinary research, the workshop provided fresh momentum for the entire program's future success.
