I’m a molecular microbiologist by training, currently pursuing my PhD after completing my master’s in Germany. Beyond the lab, I love drawing, painting, and crafts, and I enjoy meeting new people and exploring different cultures.

I’m a geomicrobiologist exploring how magnetotactic bacteria and protists interact in both natural and laboratory settings. My work uncovers how predatory protists shape bacterial populations and influence magnetosome maintenance using microbiological, molecular, and magnetic techniques.
I try to understand how magnetotactic bacteria and protists interact in both natural and laboratory settings. To study these, I use, wild type and mutant cultures of model magnetotactic bacteria, to identify phenotypes that might be crucial to evade protist predation. My work uncovers how predatory protists shape bacterial populations and influence magnetosome maintenance using microbiological, molecular, and magnetic techniques.
I am funded by the DeepDyn - DFG Priority Program 2404, which has been funded for 3 years (2024-2026).
