I was a PhD student in geophysics at LMU Munich since 2019 and defended the PhD in July 2025, in a joint project with LMU neuroanatomy. Before starting my PhD, I obtained a bachelor's degree in physics and a master's degree in geophysics, both at LMU Munich. In between my studies (2016 and 2018-2019), I worked at the US Geological Survey in California on geophysical exploration using drones.

Research Interests

My research focuses on the role of magnetic nanoparticles in living organisms, where I mainly work with human tissues and magnetotactic microbes. For my PhD work, I investigated the presence and characteristics of magnetite in the human brain, employing paleomagnetic measuring techniques to analyze brain tissue. In other projects, I investigate the interactions of infrared radiation with human tissues and their implications in the treatment of musculoskeletal disorders. I have also contributed to developing magnetic field mapping techniques with uncrewed aerial systems for exploration and archaeological prospection.
