A great honor for the Geodynamics Group! A research result from their department adorns the cover of the current issue (No. 2315) of the renowned journal Proceedings of the Royal Society A.
The cover image shows a representation of the modeled global stress field derived from an analytical asthenosphere flow model. The flow lines originating from a high-resolution global mantle circulation model are also depicted.
These impressive illustrations are taken from a paper with Nicolas Hayek as the lead author. The publication highlights the department's pioneering research in the field of global geodynamics.
