Ort:

Rachel Carson Center Leopoldstr. 11a 4th floor conference room 80802 Munich

Join us for the workshop with activist scholar Anitra Nelson, which is designed for those wanting to understand, or learn more about, degrowth and its expansion as an academic field and movement. Anitra will share insights from The Routledge Handbook of Degrowth, which she co-edited with Vincent Liegey. The session will explore our own conceptions of degrowth and, drawing on insights from the book, discuss its contemporary relevance for the environmental humanities and beyond.

Anitra Nelson is an activist scholar and Honorary Principal Fellow at the Informal Urbanism Research Hub (InfUr-), University of Melbourne (Australia). Among her numerous degrowth publications, she is co-editor of Housing for Degrowth: Principles, Models, Challenges and Opportunities (2018) and Food for Degrowth: Perspectives and Practices (2021), and co-author of Exploring Degrowth: A Critical Guide (2020).

Participation is free, but spots are limited. To register, please email us at ucfamut@ucl.ac.uk.
