Visit by the Chilean Minister of Science, Technology, Knowledge and Innovation

Over two intensive days, a high-level delegation led by Chile’s Minister of Science, Technology, Knowledge, and Innovation, Dr. Ximena Lincolao Gates, visited Munich to explore new avenues for scientific and technological collaboration between Chile and Germany.

The visit brought together key organisations from the German and Bavarian science, innovation, and industrial ecosystems to address a shared question: How can we further strengthen the long-standing ties between Chile and Germany and translate scientific and technological collaboration into new opportunities for the future?

As part of the program, Prof. Johannes Glückler presented the GIST Hub, highlighting its role as a platform for fostering collaboration between Chile and Germany in the fields of sustainability transitions, innovation, and governance.

This visit reinforced the shared commitment of Chile and Germany to deepen their partnership and leverage science and innovation as drivers for sustainable development.
