Dr. Simon Schneider has made the move from Geophysics to Communication Science and back to the Geosciences. His main research interest is deciphering and understanding the challenges and mechanisms that drive intercultural science communication. He has been assistant Professor for Data Science in Earth Observation at the Department for Aerospace and Geodesy at the Technical University of Munich before moving (again) to the Ludwig-Maximilians-University in order to coordinate an international project on Scientific Advice for Policy.
Research Interests
Research at the intersection of Earth System science, communication science, and indigenous sciences.
Working in project: SAPEA - Science for Policy by European Academies (EU, 2025 - 2029)
