Scientist and habilitated lecturer
I hold a Diploma in Geosciences from Leibniz University Hannover and a Dr. rer. nat. and Dr. habil. in Geology from LMU Munich. After a postdoc at the University of Colorado Boulder, I returned to LMU as a lecturer (Akademischer Oberrat auf Zeit).
Research Interests
I study how active faults shape landscapes, soils and ecosystems in tectonically active regions, using a mix of field geology, high-resolution remote sensing and sediment deformation analysis.
