Being born in Munich, I obtained my undergraduate degree in earth sciences at the LMU/TUM before completing the Erasmus MaMaSELF+ M.Sc. program in materials sciences. After finishing my Ph.D. in October 2025, I work as a postdoctoral researcher in the fields of biomineralisation and nanostructured materials.

CV

2017-2020 B.Sc. Earth Sciences (LMU/TUM)
2020-2022 M.Sc. Materials Sciences (Université de Montpellier/University of Turin/LMU)
2022-2025 Ph.D. investigating calcium carbonate biomaterials (LMU)
from 2025 Postdoctoral researcher (LMU)

Research Interests

My main current research interest involves the investigation of biomineralisation, i.e. how living organisms naturally form hard tissues, offering insights into the evolution and generation of functional biocomposites. Combining in-depth microstructural analysis with nanomechanical characterisation can help to understand fundamental biomineralisation principles and inspire the development of advanced materials in fields like medicine, nanotechnology, and environmental engineering.
