Dr. Johanna Höhl will take over the scientific coordination of the GIST-Hub. Her research focuses on negotiation processes regarding resource use in Latin America. She specializes in conflicts over access to and use of water in rural areas and indigenous territories, as well as changes in human-environment relationships in the context of the energy transition.

Johanna holds a degree in Latin American Regional Studies from the University of Cologne and earned her doctorate at the Latin America Institute of Freie Universität Berlin. She has many years of experience in academia and science management in Germany and Chile.
