16.04.2024 - 19.04.2024: Scoping Meeting IPCC Special Report on Climate Change and Cities

From 16 to 19 April 2024, Prof. Matthias Garschagen was invited to join the IPCC's Scoping Meeting for the upcoming Special Report on Cities, held in Riga, Latvia. Over 140 experts from about 65 countries were working on the draft outline of the Special Report to be considered by the IPCC Panel at its next Session scheduled for the end of July 2024. Matthias Garschagen also contributed to a side event held with urban planners and decision-makers to discuss latest research findings on urban adaptation.
