16/04/2024: Practical guide for inclusive citizen participation in the development of climate adaptation concepts

As part of a research project, GoingVis was consulted by the master students Mareike Andert, Lena Hildebrand, Lena Jauer and Mattis Mann (Leuphana University of Lüneburg) regarding its experience on implementing participatory adaptation approaches in German small towns. The project was particularly interested in low-threshold approaches that foster the inclusion of silent and vulnerable populations. Together with the experience of other projects, GoingVis’ insights were collected in a practical guide for inclusive citizen participation in the development of climate adaptation concepts. In addition to recommendations for planning and implementing an inclusive participation process, the compendium also includes a collection of good practice projects, methods, and further reading.
