06.11.2023 - 10.11.2023: FReCom members contributed to the LMU-ChAN Science Forum at Munich

In November 2023, the annual LMU-ChAN Science Forum was held in Munich. The forum aims to promote exchanges between LMU Munich and top Chinese universities. The FReCom project, dedicated to fostering academic exchange between China and Germany, was actively involved in the LMU-ChAN Science Forum. Representing the Chinese partners of the FReCom project, Yifei Wang, a PhD student from the Institute of Geographic Sciences and Natural Resources Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences, attended the meeting on behalf of Professor Xiangzheng Deng and his team.
On November 10, the Geography Forum was successfully held at the Department of Geography at LMU Munich. Dr. Liang Emlyn Yang from LMU Munich hosted the meeting. During the meeting, Yifei introduced the overview and research directions of the Chinese research team and discussed international frontier topics on flood risk and urban resilience building with the attending experts. FReCom members at LMU Munich also attended and presented research results in the meeting.
After the meeting, Yifei stayed at LMU Munich for an additional week to complete academic exchanges with the German team of the FReCom project.
