In June 2024, Dr. Olabisi S. Obaitor and Dr. Mia Wannewitz of the LIRLAP projects from LMU attended and presented at the What Works Climate Solutions Summit in Berlin.

The Summit’s overarching goal was to promote and catalyze synthetic evidence on climate solutions for upcoming climate change assessments – particularly the IPCC’s 7th Assessment Report ─ and other forms of scientific policy advice. Besides the methodological focus on systematic adaptation evidence mappings, presentations on adaptation evidence from various contexts provided valuable insights and food for thought.

LIRLAP team members from LMU presented their work on mapping adaptation evidence reported from coastal cities globally, building on a forthcoming publication in Nature Cities (10.21203/rs.3.rs-3640385/v1), and results from the modelling of future urban risk in Hanoi considering different urban development scenarios.
