02.2024 - 04.2024: FReCom: LMU PhD student Wenhan Feng visited Beijing

PhD student Wenhan Feng from LMU Munich completed a three-month visit and exchange with Professor Xiangzheng Deng's team at the Institute of Geographic Sciences and Natural Resources Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), as part of the FReCom program.

During this period, Wenhan presented the latest research findings and updates from the German side of the FReCom team to Prof. Deng and engaged in meaningful discussions with Prof. Deng and his team members.

PhD students Yifei Wang and Zehao Wang from the Institute of Geographic Sciences and Natural Resources Research also presented their results on the comparative study of flood resilience in Chinese and German communities.

The three-month visit enabled Wenhan to engage in-depth with CAS researchers, fostering mutual understanding and consensus on the concept of flood resilience, paving the way for more collaborative opportunities in the foreseeable future.
