Establishment of a New Working Group at the Bavarian Center for Higher Education and Sustainability (BayZeN)

On April 24, representatives from KU, LMU, and JMU met in Ingolstadt as part of the establishment of a new BayZeN working group in the area of teaching.
On April 24, 2026, representatives from the Catholic University of Eichstätt-Ingolstadt, Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich, and Julius Maximilian University of Würzburg gathered in the historic Georgianum building of the Catholic University of Eichstätt-Ingolstadt in Ingolstadt to lay the groundwork for the establishment of a new working group within the Bavarian Center for Higher Education and Sustainability (BayZeN) focused on the area of teaching.
Two thought-provoking presentations offered valuable insights into the current state of education for sustainable development in Bavaria. During the subsequent workshop session, participants collaboratively developed goals and perspectives for the new working group. The group will focus in particular on the future of Bavaria-wide education for sustainable development at universities. This is an exciting development for sustainable transformation in the field of education.
