Learn and Teach for the Future

el mundo is an educational program of the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität in Munich. We stand for sustainable education, develop education for sustainable development at LMU and are also involved in an international context. Our projects focus on participatory and design-oriented learning. el mundo thus responds to a wide range of requests from science, politics and society, which regard the anchoring of education for sustainable development as a cross-sectional task.

The Executive Board of Ludwig Maximilians University has made Prof. Ralf Ludwig, director of el mundo, the Chief Sustainability Officer (CSO). This underlines the growing importance of sustainability at Germany’s largest university.
