How to choose courses
- In general, you are allowed to apply for every course the Department of Geography has to offer.
- You can find general information on courses in our course description (PDF, 530 KB). There, modules that are frequently visited by other incoming students are listed. A module usually consists of more than one course, but you are also allowed to visit only one part of the module. Please be aware: teaching language for all courses in German B2 level.
- In the LSF you can view all courses that are offered. For some courses, the focus of the courses changes over the time. In the LSF you can always find out the current topic of each course. In the LSF you can find the courses with the "course catalogue". There you need to select "Faculty of Geosciences" and then "Geography".
- If you have questions regarding the content of the courses, please contact responsible "Fachstudienberater".
- Internationals are also allowed to visit some courses from other departments, but 60% of the schedule has to consist of courses from your host department.
- Get informed about the course offering of other departments. Visit their homepages for incoming students or view their courses in the particular section of the LSF for this purpose. You can also contact their coordinator for exchange/Erasmus+ students for further information.
- Please note that other departments probably have different application procedures for courses and for exams as well.
