The GIST Hub (Inclusive Governance and Innovation for Sustainability Transitions), funded by the BMBF since February 2025, will provide an interdisciplinary platform for collaboration between researchers from the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München (LMU) and the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile (UC) to develop innovative solutions in the field of sustainability transitions. The aim of the collaboration is to explore and develop inclusive governance and innovation models and to transfer evidence-based knowledge and transformative skills to decision-makers in private, public and civil society organizations.
Networking science, politics and business
The GIST Hub links science, politics and business and creates a platform for research, exchange and professional education. Through joint projects, mobility programmes and a specialized further education diploma, findings become practically applicable. Workshops, conferences and publications help to actively promote sustainable development and strengthen international cooperation between Europe and Latin America.
