Trained in forestry sciences, with work focused on how integrative forest sector management can enable the forest sector, including both forests and harvested wood products, to contribute effectively to climate mitigation ambitions while also anticipating the impacts of climate change on ecosystem functioning. From a methodological perspective, work has relied on stand-level process-based models, such as 3PGmix and 3D-CMCC-FEM, as they provide an appropriate scale for investigating local research questions. At Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich, contribution will be made to the CLARiTy project, which aims to advance the integration of land-use, modeling, and remote sensing approaches to improve carbon budget assessments.
