Welcome to the team, Solveig!

Solveig Blöcher joined Tobias Hank’s team as part of the D2D project, which aims to develop a digital twin for agriculture, with a particular focus on fertilization. In this role, she will, among other tasks, analyze surface nitrogen using hyperspectral EnMAP data and contribute to the development of training datasets for an AI model.

Solveig completed her B.Sc. in Kiel and her Master’s degree in Augsburg, where her research focused on the impacts of climate change on ecological and social systems in West Africa. She then spent four years at VISTA GmbH, working on the application of plant growth models for large-scale yield estimation and serving as the internal project manager for the EU Horizon project STELAR.
