ESP Europe 2026: Call for Abstracts!

Call for Abstracts for Uta Schirpke's session at the 6th ESP Europe Conference in Prague!

The push for 𝗲𝗰𝗼𝘀𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, driven by instruments like the EU Nature Restoration Law and the Kunming Montreal Framework, is accelerating. Many of us are now focused on demonstrating the full 𝘃𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲-𝗯𝗮𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗦𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 (NbS) by assessing their wide ranging co benefits.

The 𝗰𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗲 remains: 𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝘄𝗲 𝗲𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗹𝘆 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘀𝗲 𝗱𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗳𝗶𝘁𝘀, from biodiversity to human well being, and integrate them into analyses to guide where and how to implement restoration?

• Strategies to better understand the 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗯𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 of these benefits.
• Ways to facilitate the uptake of these analyses in 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗽𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗰𝘆 for restoration.
