Project title: COASTSCAPE - rethinking coastal landscapes with climate-resilient interventions

Project description:

1. Establish a comprehensive “Global Resilience Casebase构建气候韧性案例库/数据库: In the COASTSCAPES project, we aim to establish a global casebase systematically collecting positive resilience cases from diverse regions and sectors, acting as a repository of knowledge and a platform for cross-learning. The student will help to design the structure of the casebase, including core framework, standards, and quality-control mechanisms for case entries, which facilitate crowd-source contributions of resilience cases. The casebase platform should be designed user-friendly, and open-accessible, featuring interactive tools like maps and filters for easy navigation.

2. Analyzing and modeling resilience-development pathways 分析和模拟气候韧性发展路径: with support from the COASTSCAPES project and the “Global Resilience Casebase”, we will analyze and model how resilience was developed and maintained, what are the pathways, how can it be further enhanced? Skills of agent-based model, large language model, artificial intelligence and machine learning are needed to carry out the tasks.

Project time plan: Full Doctoral Study-Model of 48 months
